I really miss this…! Visit Marken already? Rent a bike and get there…so beautiful.

I didn’t get a chance to visit very much, I was there for just one night accompanying a friend who suddenly absolutely had to visit the Van Gogh Museum.

Amsterdam is only a 45 minute flight away from London and tickets are amazingly cheap so I like to go and walk around the city when I have free time and money to spare (which isn’t very often, though I’ve been twice this year) but I’ve yet to venture further afield in Holland. From reading Marken’s Wikipedia entry it sounds like somewhere I would love though, I’m always drawn to islands :-)
Did you visit any other places in Europe you would recommend? I really should make more use of how close I live to so many beautiful places.
